The military operations of the Military Forces in the southwest has managed to increase the affectations to the illegal groups that commit crimes in the region.
The Chief of defense of Colombia, General Hugo Alejandro López Barreto, remains in the southwest of the country leading the military operations against alias Ivan Mordisco and other illegal structures in the departments of Cauca, Valle de Cauca and Nariño.
Since the weekend, 10 members of organized armed groups, directly linked to the Mordisco structures, have been eliminated. In the same way, 17 explosive devices, more than 100 cartridges and more than 900 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride have been destroyed.
In the same way, in 2026, 623 attempted terrorist acts have been eliminated in this region.
