A 28-year-old indigenous man with abdominal trauma requiring immediate assistance in a second-level hospital was transported by the Colombian Air Force from the municipality of Taraira to Mit煤, in the department of Vaup茅s.
This man apparently was injured in a fight, entering the Taraira health center under a diagnosis of abdominal trauma that could not be assisted in this place as it did not have the appropriate equipment or personnel to treat the intra-abdominal hemorrhage of the patient.
Since there was no time or land route to transport the young man, the urgent situation was brought to the National Personnel Recovery Center (CNRP), which generated the request to Air Combat Command No.2 so that, through the deployment of this important mission, the good physical condition of this person is protected.
Thus, in a Caravan C-208 aircraft, the military doctors and nurses arrived at the airfield of this remote point, who, during an hour and forty minutes of flight, provided comprehensive care to keep the patient stable.
Upon arriving at the Fabio Alberto Le贸n Bentley airport, the young indigenous man was handed over to the health personnel who were ready with the ambulance for taking the patient to the San Antonio de Mit煤 hospital where he was provided with the required measures.
