Two non-commissioned officers and two specialist soldiers who were injured during a drone attack, allegedly carried out by members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, were evacuated by a UH-60 Angel helicopter of the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, from the village of Palmeras, in the municipality of Tibú, to Cúcuta, department of Norte de Santander, where they received specialized medical assistance.
The event, which occurred near the Santander village, was attended in a timely manner. In such situations, the joint operations conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the Colombian National Army are decisive for the protection of citizens and the evacuation of people who may be hit.
The Colombian Aerospace Force, working for the protection of the inhabitants and the well-being of the communities, is constant in its permanent preparation that strengthens its reaction capacity in the face of environments that may alter the order, security and tranquility of the country.
