In the place, troops found material for the exclusive use of the Military Forces, with which it was planned to equip members of this structure that commits crimes in the south of Tolima.
Soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Battalion N.° 13 of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, arrived at the village of La Florecita, in the municipality of Planadas, where they found an illegal hiding place belonging to the residual organized armed group Front Ismael Ruiz.
Thanks to the information gathered by military intelligence, abundant war material, military accessories and communications were found by troops, with items such as ammunition, magazines, communication radios, campaign equipment, camouflage fabric, multipurpose vests, as well as a banner and bracelets alluding to GAO-r in front of Ismael Ruiz.
This result of the military operation of the troops of the Sixth Brigade hits the criminal resources of the structure, contributing to reduce the armed component and its logistical resources.
Once again, the inhabitants of the south of Tolima are invited to provide information, through the toll-free anti-terrorism hotline 107, about any criminal activity of the Ismael Ruiz structure and its ringleader alias Chapolo; a reward of up to 200 million pesos is provided.
