Through combat intelligence work by units of the Fourth Brigade of the Army, it was possible to find two members of the Clan del Golfo, who coordinated microtrafficking in the municipality of Ebéjico, department of Antioquia.
Within the framework of the Campaign Plan of the Ayacucho military operation, and the objectives of protecting the inhabitants and weakening the resources of the threat, troops of the Infantry Battalion No.32 General Pedro Justo Berrío, attached to the Fourth Brigade, with the support of the Urban Special Forces Battalion No. 7, find two individuals wanted by the authorities for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying firearms and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.
This arrest was made in coordination with the Basic Criminal Investigation Unit of the Santafé de Antioquia Police Station.
The individuals, according to the information, allegedly belonged to the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle Substructure, of the Clan del Golfo, and apparently were drug trafficking coordinators.
Those arrested had their place of home in the rural area, so they evaded the authorities for a long time and made continuous and cautious movements to deliver the narcotics to the distributors.
At the time of the arrest, a shotgun, 3 20 mm caliber cartridges, 533 doses of narcotics, including marijuana, bazuko (Crack) and cocaine hydrochloride, 2 cell phones and cash were found by troops.
