These people were arrested in flagrante delicto in the Santa Helena village, in Puerto Gaitán, Meta, during two consecutive operations, operations that are constant in the frame of the security and control of the Campo Rubiales sector, where strategic assets of the nation are protected.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Campaign plan, National Army troops and Police, through a checkpoint, arrested five individuals for the crime of theft of copper, taken from a cluster that works for the extraction of petroleum.
During the military operations, once intercepted, one of these individuals was found in possession of a revolver.
The arrested, war material and stolen items were put into custody of the Judicial Police, SIJIN, for urgent acts.
With these arrests, security in the department of Meta territory is constant, especially the strategic resources of the Rubiales Field sector. In the same way, the criminal components with interference in the region are effectively attacked.
