This group of the residual Organized Armed Group, Adán Izquierdo, would be in charge of carrying out terrorist operations against the Military Forces and the community. In this operation, a minor was in the same way recovered, who was being utilized as a low-level guerrilla.
Troops of the National Army, in military operations conducted against the factors of criminality in the department of Valle del Cauca, arrested alias Sebastián, alleged member of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO r, Adán Izquierdo.
Military intelligence work and information reported by the Civic Participation Network led to identify the establishment of activities of these criminals in the rural area of the village of La Magdalena de Guacarí, Valle del Cauca. In this place, members of the Military Forces with the support of the Colombian Air Force and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, deployed the ground and air resources that led to the arrest of this individual, as well as the recovery of a minor.
Alias Sebastián, according to intelligence reports, was part of the criminal group of this GAO-r in charge of planning and executing terrorist operations against the Military Forces, carrying out murders of social and indigenous leaders and carrying out kidnappings and extortion of inhabitants of the region.
As for the recovered minor, who was apparently forcibly recruited by this group, she has already been put in the custody and under protection of the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing ICBF to continue with the procedures for the restoration of her rights.
In this military operation, three 5.56mm Galil rifles, a Smith & Wesson rifle, a 7.62mm caliber high-precision rifle, a 9mm pistol, a hand grenade, 14 magazines of different calibers, in addition to abundant military accessories and communications material were found by troops, which were already put into custody of the authorities.
