Troops of the National Army, in coordination with the Transit and Transport Police, carrying out search and control patrols, arrested in flagrante delicto a man in a commercial establishment in the neighborhood Santander, in the municipality of Saravena, in the department of Arauca, and when requested by the military units, a firearm containing abundant ammunition was found without the documentation required to carry it.
In the middle of the search, troops found in his possession a 9-millimeter pistol-type firearm, three magazines, forty cartridges, three mobile phones and a proof of payment alluding to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln. This individual would apparently belong to the terrorist support networks in charge of extorting and carrying out terrorist and contract killing actions in the department of Arauca.
The individual along with the material were given to the authorities to continue with his prosecution process.
