Within the framework of the Environmental Bubble and within its strategic lines of ecological prevention and mitigation, the thirteen Brigade of the National Army, through the Artillery Battalion No.13 Fernando Landazábal Reyes, 46 men attended and supported the mitigation of a conflagration in Fosca, Cundinamarca.
Soldiers of Artillery Battalion No.13 were supporting the assistance of the emergency that was reported in the Municipality Center, Sector La Mesita, Municipality of Fosca, as a result of a forest fire due to high temperatures and the absence of dry season rains in the sector, this burning consumed at least four hectares of plants area.
In this activity coordinated with the communal operation board, local administration, inhabitants of the municipality and with the firefighters of Cundinamarca, it was possible to control the damages to fruit and floral plants and about 20 houses adjacent to the epicenter of this fire.
