At the base of operations Agamenón, in Necoclí, Antioquia, the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, presented two important results of the Military Forces against the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) under the command of alias Mordisco, in Guaviare; and another one against the GAO Caparros, in Cáceres, Antioquia.
The Minister of Defense informed that in the village of Puerto Valencia, municipality of El Retorno, Guaviare, soldiers of the National Army brought seven individuals to justice and the rescued two minors who had been illegally recruited by the residual GAO of alias Mordisco.
This important operational result achieved -in addition to the dismantling of a subgroup of this crime gang- the capture of alias Albeiro, ringleader who had been for more than eight years in the residual GAO and who was in charge of drug trafficking routes in Guaviare.
“This result takes another step toward the victory and it hits the subgroup of this GAO in that region of the country. We will continue to conduct operations until we find alias Mordisco”, the Minister highlighted.
On the other hand, the head of the Defense reported that the Military Forces achieved the neutralization, in Cáceres, Antioquia, of alias Tilico, urban ringleader of the GAO Caparros, which commit crimes in Caucasia. Alias Tilico was wanted for the crimes of illegal possession of weapons and homicide since he threw a grenade that injured more than 30 people in that municipality.
”Together with our Military and Police Forces we will relentlessly continue to conduct operations to achieve victory and dismantle these groups that seek to hit the tranquility, life and honor of Colombian people", said Minister Molano.
