The illegal merchandise had been hidden in the structure of the Go Fast boat, which was manned by three Panamanians.
In a combined operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Aeronautical service of Panama-SENAN-, it was possible to find about 95 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, which were transported on board a Go Fast boat, 27 nautical miles northwest of Punta Arenas – Necoclí, Antioquia.
The finding occurred during maritime control operations carried out by units attached to the Caribbean Naval Force and the National Aeronautical service of Panama-SENAN-, who, thanks to important valuable information, detect and intercept the suspicious boat manned by three Panamanians.
During the inspection of the ship, the military find that the structure had been modified to hide inside 98 rectangular packages of illicit substances, which were transported to the pier of the coast Guard Station in Uraba, where officers of the Technical Corps of Investigation, CTI, of the office of the Prosecutor General of the Nation conducted the Identification test, leaving positive result for 94,7 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
This operation is another blow against drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Gulf of Urabá subregion, preventing more than three million dollars from entering their logistics structures.
