A Black Hawk UH - 60L helicopter belonging to Air Combat Command no.7 of the Colombian Air Force, processed the call of the relief institutions to support the work of extinguishing a forest fire, in rural areas conducted by the municipalities of Yumbo and Dagua.
With the Bambi Bucket system, 16 water drops were made, each with a capacity of 500 gallons, mixed with retardant liquid, to quench the conflagration and facilitate ground work conducted by the Volunteer Fire team of Yumbo.
Thanks to the preparation of the men on board the aircraft and the precision to conduct this maneuver it was possible to control the conflagration by 90%.
