Within the Misión Amazonas, the department of Antioquia stands in solidarity with the most vulnerable, to provide help and promote self-care in this region of the country, which according to the report distributed on May 31, 2020 by the Ministry of Health, reports 2,000 positive cases of covid-19.
For this reason, at the Air Combat Command No.5, CACOM No.5, the Governor of Antioquia, the Corporation Antioquia Presente, together with the private company, joined this noble cause to reach the most remote places, strengthening assistance in health with medical supplies and benefiting the inhabitants hit by this pandemic.
Aircraft of the Colombian Air Force were sent from the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, in Bogotá, to CACOM No.5 in Rionegro and later they carried 22 tons of aid and hygiene items such as antibacterial soap and alcohol, to Leticia in the Amazonas department, where the distribution of these elements will be carried out through the Secretary of Health.
