In the framework of coordinated operations conducted by the Colombian Navy and the Attorney General's Office, alias Buffy and alias Ana were arrested, given that a citizen of the productive groups of businessmen denounced alleged extortion calls.
Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar and officials of the Technical Investigation Corps – CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office were immediately deployed to the sector known as the Bomba del Gallo in the city of Cartagena, where the two people, alias Buffy” and alias Ana, accused of demanding 60 million pesos in exchange for not attacking the good physical condition of the businessmen or against the company's vehicles, were arrested in flagrante delicto. A cell phone and a motorcycle were found by troops in the operation.
According to the investigations, the two arrested allegedly would be members of the Nicolás Antonio Urango Reyes substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, which commits crimes in the department of Bolívar. The arrested and the material were put into custody of the Local Prosecutor's Office 52 of Cartagena, in order to conduct the corresponding judicial process.
