With air and ground patrols, the Colombian Air Force, through the Caribbean Air Group, in its mission to protect the sovereignty of the Archipelago with the Specific Command of San Andrés and Providencia, continues to work for the benefit of strengthening security strategies, which is fundamental for the different economic activities of the inhabitants, as well as during the accompaniment of tourists arriving in these islands of the Colombian Caribbean.
For this reason, faithful to the commitment to safeguard the well-being in the Archipelago, the Base Security and Defense Squadron of the Air Military Unit with the Saludo Plan and the land patrols that are carried out daily, have exercised control in different sectors of the Island where people have been hit by crime.
The objective of these security missions is to contribute to the reduction of criminal acts in the last year; in the same way, this type of approach generates awareness and empathy among the inhabitants and tourists to build a better society.
