The continuous operations carried out by the National Army, in the department of Risaralda, have led to the voluntary surrender of four members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN Manuel Hernández El Boche, among these, alias Maniseco, ringleader of militias and finances with interference activities in Risaralda and Chocó departments, in addition to the finding of an illegal hiding place.
In operations and research tasks framed in the Ayacucho Plan, in areas bordering the department of Risaralda, the Eighth Brigade with the ground Artillery Battalion No.8 San Mateo and the Francisco Javier Cisneros Engineer Battalion obtained the voluntary surrender of four people.
These are alias Marihuano, who had been approximately seven years in the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, Manuel Hernández el Boche front; alias Zarco, who apparently had been in the structure for two years; alias científico, who, eight years ago committed crimes for this organized armed group, and alias Maniseco, who in addition to having spent six years on this front, was the ringleader of militias and finances with interference activities in Risaralda and Chocó departments.
Apparently, one of the criminal operations carried out by these men was to collect money from extortion from merchants and control the roads routes of the municipality of Pueblo Rico in Risaralda, to Alto Andagueda in the municipality of Bagadó, department of Chocó.
At the time of their presentation, these people made known to the National Army their intentions of wanting to rejoin civil society and start a new life with their family, under the legality with the support of the Humanitarian support Group for the Demobilized, led by the National Government.
On the other hand, in the Santa Ana sector in the municipality of Guatica, troops of Infantry Battalion No.22 Batalla de Ayacucho they found an illegal hiding place with military accessories material that contained: three pixelated pants, three jungle-type jackets, three pixelated caps, a multipurpose vest, a green belt for vest, a sack, a military green sack for cold weather, a first-aid kit, three batteries for explosive ordnance initiation system, five meters of two wire cable for remote control activation, 12 jars with 400 grams of urea each, a barrel with 30 kilograms of urea and a flag alluding to the GAO ELN.
It is noteworthy that, in January of this year, in a coordinated operation, alias Raúl, an individual belonging to the ELN was arrested who allegedly carried out criminal intelligence on the road axis that contacts the department of Risaralda with the department of Chocó, and would be responsible for the criminal finances of the structure, through the collection of money from extortion against from passenger collective transport companies and merchants.
