During 2023, 16 coca paste base laboratories have been found and dismantled in the Bajo Cauca of Antioquia and southern Córdoba.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, soldiers of the Aquiles Joint Task Force are carrying out territorial control operations, including the finding and dismantling of two laboratories for the manufacture of coca paste base, at the service of the Julio César Vargas substructure, of the Organized Armed Group GAO Clan del Golfo, and the Heroes de Taraza company of the GAO ELN, in the village of Palomas and in the village of Puerto Raudal, of the municipality of Valdivia, Antioquia.
During the military operations, two wooden structures were found by troops containing 12 metal barrels with 136 gallons of DIESEL each; in the same way, 10 plastic barrels with gasoline, five 25-kilogram lime sacks, two 50-kilogram cement sacks and two 50-kilogram urea sacks.
