In the operation it was possible the arrest of the individuals accused of being alias el Tigre, alias Pablo and alias Maicol, ringleaders of zone with interference in the subregion Las Lobas, in the department of Bolívar.
Within the framework of the Perseo Plan, in unified ground operations, troops of the National Army carried out search operations in Las Lobas subregion, in the department of Bolívar, which led to the arrest of 19 people by court order for the crime of association to commit crimes and aggravated extortion and an arrest in flagrante delicto for the crime of carrying, trafficking or manufacture of narcotics.
The operation carried out by troops of the Mechanized Infantry Battalion No.5, the Magdalena Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), the Urban Special Forces Battalion No.1 and the Elite Gaula Group, attached to the Second Brigade of the National Army, was carried out jointly with the National Navy and coordinated with the National Police in the municipalities of San Martín de Loba, Barranco de Loba and Hatillo de Loba, materializing the arrests of these 20 people, who, allegedly, would be linked to the Erlin Pino Duarte Substructure, belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
Among those arrested are the individuals known as alias el Tigre and alias Pablo, accused of being zone ringleaders in this subregion of the department of Bolívar, who would be in charge of collecting money from extortion from merchants in the urban and rural area. In the same way, among the arrests there is in the same way that of alias Maicol, who was the financial ringleader of the region which generated anxiety and insecurity in this area of the department of Bolívar.
After the arrests, the detainees were put into custody of the First Specialized Prosecutor's Office of Gaula - Cartagena to conduct the urgent acts of prosecution.
The Second Brigade of the National Army continues to counteract all the phenomena of criminality that hit the department of Bolívar, and invites people to denounce any action that disturbs the progress and development of the region.
