During air and ground operations, the regional authorities managed to find the whereabouts of alias El patas, alleged member of the Luis Alfonso Echavarría substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo; a significant amount of war material was seized in the municipality of Santa Rosa, south of Bolívar, area where he carried out criminal operations against the civilians of this sector.
In order to consolidate this result, the Colombian Air Force deployed surveillance aircraft to accompany the operation carried out by the National Army troops on the surface, during which firearms, ammunition, communication equipment, garments for the exclusive use of the Military Forces and field equipment were found by troops.
The arrested man and the material were put into custody of the authorities, who will continue with the respective prosecution process. The Colombian Air Force, for its part, will continue to carry out air missions that will dismantle the structure of organized armed groups in the north of the country.
