With eight arrests and the apprehension of a minor, the criminal operations of these people who apparently would be using minors for illegal activities were neutralized.
Troops of the National Army in coordination with the Santander Police and interinstitutions with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, in Barbosa, Santander, obtained the arrest of eight people and the apprehension of a minor, allegedly members of the Los Pacos common crime group, accused of the crimes of carrying, manufacture and trafficking of narcotics, aggravated and qualified theft and homicide.
After five months of arduous work of intelligence, it was possible to establish the way in which these people were committing their criminal operations, getting the identification and finding of the today arrested, as well as the resources, hours, and strategic points for the purchase and sale of narcotic drugs, where apparently, they used the minor for the marketing of hallucinogens mainly by other minors.
The area of interference of this criminal organization was mainly the municipality of Barbosa and other surrounding municipalities, in which they would in the same way be related to several theft crimes, even one of these men would be involved in a homicide that occurred days ago in the aforementioned municipality.
In the same way, it was possible to find cell phones and 1,500 grams of marijuana, which was intended to be distributed in this municipality. In the same way, the arrested were put into custody of the judicial authority and the minor was transferred to a specialized center for minors.
With these arrests it was possible to give some tranquility to the inhabitants of this important region of the department that was being hit by the interference of this criminal structure, while demonstrating the commitment to continue working in coordination for the tranquility and protection of our children and adolescents.
