This year, decisive military operations have been planned at the Casanare Air Group - GACAS, which have been carried out jointly, coordinated and interagency with the National Army, National Police and other authorities of the region, limiting the enemy's operations and protecting civilians and State property in the Colombian Orinoquia region.
In the same way, the logistical and air resources of C-208 Caravan, Ranger, Huey ll, UH-60 Black Hawk and remotely manned aircraft have been put into service to conduct more than 1,481 flight hours in patrols, control and surveillance missions throughout the territory of Arauca, Boyacá and Casanare.
In the frame of the work with the inhabitants, the Comprehensive Action has carried out activities to support people benefiting more than 1,000 people in areas such as medical assistance, land loudspeakers masons, the Corazon Amigo Plan, among others.
Today the Casanare Air Group joins the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the city of Yopal, being the home of this Military Unit that for 12 years has contributed to write a history of great achievements for the capital city of Casanare, fulfilling the institutional mission in the Colombian east, “Fly, Train and Fight to Win.”
