GAO Eln planted a high-powered improvised explosive device very close to a rural school and civilian houses in Arauca
Without any respect for human rights, the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, planted a powerful explosive charge near the inhabitants.
Troops of the National Army through military operations achieved the finding and destruction of a powerful improvised explosive device that was hidden in the base of a tree near the way that leads to the rural school Brisas del Palmar, where more than 80 children have class and, and also to the houses in the village Rosa Blanca, in the municipality of Arauquita, Arauca.
After receiving the alert of a dangerous explosive, the special group of the National Army immediately entered the area and carried out the finding and subsequent controlled destruction of the explosive device. This explosive had a command cable activation system, which would have a destruction range of 50 meters around if it had been activated.
Apparently, the GAO Eln intended to attack the troops of the National Army who are carrying out a decisive operation against the organized armed groups in the department of Arauca and, mercilessly harm the innocent civilians passing through that place.
This year, the National Army in the department of Arauca has been able to destroy 54 improvised explosive devices planted without any control by the members of the outlaw terrorist groups.
