The Military Forces in the fulfilment of the Unified Action Acceleration Plan - PAAU, in coordination with the National Police and the support of institutions, institutional partners, government and private institutions of the Department of Putumayo, joined to an Activity to Support the Development, focused on the municipality of Villagarzon to benefit the people with all the services, which included a brigade of health, the marketing of the products of the peasants of the area, recreation for children, presents and cultural activities.
The Humanitarian Assistance Group for the Demobilized presented its program on demobilization and individual surrender to justice and prevention of illegal recruitment, the Colombian Civil Defense provided advice on prevention, social action and environmental management; the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing carried out presentation of its program through a puppet show, the Explora Generacion Program advised on the processes for the restoration of rights, the SENA - National Learning Service, showed its portfolio of Services of the Business Development Center.
In addition, the Military District No. 62, gave information to young people on the definition of the military situation, about officer and non-commissioned officer courses; the Putumayo Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) gave anti-extortion and anti-kidnapping talks, the Humanitarian Demining Battalion provided information on demining and prevention of improvised explosive devices, the National Police provided children and adolescents with information about Prevention and Citizen Education services through the mascots of the Institution, Face Paintings, games and educational activities.
These activities were possible thanks to the effort and teamwork of the Military, the Department of National Police in the Putumayo, public and private institutions, with the purpose to continue to contribute to the quality of life of the inhabitants of Villagarzon, in education and health, through presents, instructions to promote the economy revival and the institutional strengthening. All this looking for spaces of union and hope, generating bonds of trust through rapprochement, dialogue and joint work with the people of Putumayo.
