In the course of two operations against drug trafficking, 733 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops.
With these results, 1.8 million doses are not going to be marketed and distributed on the streets of the world.
With two operations against drug traffickers in the Caribbean region, the Navy of Colombia reported the finding of 733 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 59 kilograms of narcotics in the departments of Bolívar and Magdalena.
In an operation of the troops of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.12 together with the Caribbean Naval Special Forces Group and the Cartagena Coast Guard Station, coordinated with the Technical Investigation Unit (CTI) of the Attorney General's Office, they reported finding a van–type vehicle accused of transporting narcotic substances, through a checkpoint on the Mamonal - Turbaco highway (Bolívar).
When carrying out the respective inspection, they found inside 674 rectangular packages similar to those used by criminal organizations for drug trafficking, so they proceeded to carry out the Approved Preliminary Identification Tests, resulting in 615 packages for cocaine hydrochloride (659 kilograms) and the 59 packages of narcotics.
In the second operation that was carried out jointly with troops of the National Army and coordinated with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, it was possible to find 73.8 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride on the sector Isla 1972, in Sitio Nuevo, in the department of Magdalena.
A counter narcotics binomial canine of the coast Guard Station in Barranquilla accompanied by of the troops of the National Army, carried out the inspection of an area full of weeds, where they found buried three sacks that contained 74 rectangular packages, so they proceeded to conduct the Tests for Preliminary Identification, leaving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride.
With these results, the drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean lose more than 24 million dollars, since they are not going to sell 1.8 million doses of cocaine on the streets of the world.
