This person is believed to have been the perpetrator of the murder of second lieutenant Cristian Calderón, in the municipality of San Antonio, in Sevilla, Valle del Cauca, last September 2021.
This resounding result came after a detailed follow-up on the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Adán Izquierdo, where National Army troops fought with this structure, on the road that connects the municipality of Monteloro, with the municipality of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca. Troops obtained the neutralization in military operations of alias Kevin, accused of being the fourth ringleader of this criminal organization.
This individual would be responsible for the murder of social leader Gonzalo Cardona Molina, coordinator of a bird reserve in the rural area of Seville. In addition, he is the main perpetrator of the kidnapping and subsequent collective homicide, in January 2021, of five young people in the Cerro Rico sector of Buga, in Valle del Cauca; he in the same way coordinated the ambush in rural Tuluá against the Military Forces, which left three soldiers and a police officer injured with an improvised explosive device in March 2021. He also participated in the kidnapping of businessman Jaime Mejía Azcárate, in the rural area of Tuluá, who was released after pressure of the troops in April 2021.
This individual, who had his area of interference in the municipalities of Tuluá, Sevilla, Buga and Buegalagrande, in Valle del Cauca department, is accused of being the perpetrator of the murder of the second lieutenant Cristian Calderón in the municipality of San Antonio, in Sevilla, Valle del Cauca, last September, when the young officer conducted work for the social development of the region.
In the course of the military operation, a fragmentation grenade, magazines, ammunition of different calibres, a registry book, six USB units and a signal detector were confiscated and put into custody of the authorities.
With this result, the command and control of this structure will be hit again, after the neutralization of alias Hugo, by the National Army, in November 2021; he was head of the residual GAO Adán Izquierdo; in addition, illicit recruitment, forced displacement and attacks on the critical infrastructure of the State are prevented.
