The Colombian Navy, through the Amazon Coast Guard Group, supported the La Luz Foundation in carrying out a Development Support Activity where they provided medical assistance, recreational activities and presents to 1,100 minors, who live in vulnerable conditions in the municipality of Leticia, Amazonas.
Children up to five years old, who participate in the programs of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute, were the beneficiaries of this activity in the Citizen Integration Center CIC, where services were provided in dentistry, general medicine, hearing and vision control, vaccination and psychosocial care, thanks to the support of the Municipal Health Secretariat and the Basic Naval Health Unit.
This activity was complemented by institutions such as the National Army, the Colombian Air Force, the Governor of Amazonas, in the city of Leticia, with artistic presentations and gastronomic samples of the region, training for the preparation of different dishes with Bienestarina (dietary supplement), distribution of goods, such as medicines, hygiene kits, oral, face masks, clothes, toys, hair salon, and entertainment activities.
