This gang would perpetrate motorcycle thefts in the subregions of La Sabana sucreña and in the subregion of Montes de María.
In the department of Sucre, the Colombian Navy and the National Police achieved the arrest of eight individuals, suspected members of the Common Crime Gang Los Timus, as well as the notification of arrest to two other individuals who are being held in a prison center; in the same way five cell phones were found.
The coordinated operation was carried out simultaneously in the municipalities of Sampués and Sincelejo, where troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre and units of the SIJÍN de Sucre arrived to comply with search warrants issued by the Attorney General's Office.
The first to be arrested was 28-year-old alias Palillo, who was apparently the head of this criminal organization. His arrest was carried out in the municipality of Sampués in the sector known as El Campano, in that same neighborhood were in the same way was arrested alias Care Mapa, 31, and alias Leo, 52.
In the neighborhood La Victoria of this same municipality was in the same way arrested alias Pedro, 4; in the neighborhood Las Nubes was arrested alias Guillo, 41, while alias John, 25, was arrested in the neighborhood 7 de Agosto.
In Sincelejo the seventh arrest was carried out, alias Eri,30, in the neighborhood Trinidad and in the neighborhood Vida was arrested alias Yosimar, 28.
Dimas Herazo and Robinson Hernández, both 33 years old, were in the same way notified of their arrests and are being held in La Vega de Sincelejo prison, where they allegedly continued to commit crimes in the service of this group.
According to intelligence information, this group would perpetrate motorcycle thefts through the modality of assault in the subregions of Montes de María and La Sabana Sucreña, after committing the crime they coordinated with officials of transit offices to legalize vehicles with false documentation and finally commercialize them.
During the operation, five cell phones were in the same way found and the arrested individuals were put into custody of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and must answer for the crime of association to commit crimes for the purpose of theft.
