In order to strengthen the relationship between the Colombian Air Force and its U.S. counterpart, Chief Master Sergeant James E. Clark, Chief of Command of the Twelfth U.S. Air Force, visited the Air Combat Command No.4 in Melgar, Tolima, to know the Resources that this Unit has.

On his arrival at CACOM 4, accompanied by a delegation from his country and his counterpart in Colombia, he was received by the Commander of the Air Combat Command No.4, Colonel Néstor Vicente Cortés and personnel of the Unit, who made a tour by the most important areas of this Base, which is strategic because it is a pioneer in the training of helicopter pilots of the Military Forces in the country and Latin America.

In the same way, the Chief Master Sergeant learned about the training resources of the Helicopter School for the Military Forces, evidenced in the high-tech flight simulators; in the same way, he got familiar with the TH-67 Creek helicopters in which the pilots begin their flight phase.

In the same way, a review on ground of the aircraft and equipment that are used in the heli-supported operational field, required to fully fulfill the mission of flying, training and fighting to win, was carried out.

Thus, the Colombian Air Force strengthens ties of cooperation and alliance with allied Air Forces to strengthen relations that seek to fulfill the purposes of the State in the areas of security, defense and development of the country.
