The island of San Andrés continues to recover after the damage caused by Hurricane Iota in 2020 and, at the same time, faces the difficulties of the pandemic with the support of the Colombian Air Force.
In a C-40 of the Colombian Air Force, last weekend, a support for the care of patients with COVID-19 took off, from the Air Combat Command No.3, with 18 oxygen concentrators, which will support the recovery therapies of people infected with the virus on the island of San Andrés, who continue to recover, after the environmental tragedy they lived in 2020.
The mission was carried out with this aircraft of the military transport Air Command, in which not only these medical elements were transported, but 13 members of the Civil Defence who continue to support the reconstruction of houses, schools and other infrastructure assets essential for the community, which is currently facing different situations assisted by all the State institutions, in order to stabilize and rebuild it quickly.
The Island of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, is a priority for the Colombian Air Force, which week after week of flights has transported aid from any region of the country, rebuilding what was lost during the environmental tragedy.
