The threat of “Negro Mosquera”, main leader of the residual GAO, Míller Perdomo, was neutralized in Caquetá

This man died during military operations in the municipality of Solano, Caquetá.

Troops of the National Army, the Navy of Colombia, the Air Force, the Police and the Prosecution, joint, coordinated and inter-institutional, neutralized in development of military operations alias  Mosquera or Negro Mosquera, who seems to be the ringleader of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 62 Míller Perdomo.

The events took place in the town of Consaya, a rural area of the municipality of Solano, Caquetá. There, he tried to hide from the military operations that have been deployed in a sustained manner for several days, after obtaining his discovery through military intelligence.

The criminal beginnings of this man date back to 1999, when he joined the extinct Farc, in front 1. He currently served as the main leader of this residual structure, after the military operations against Gentil Duarte, in 2020.

In his criminal record he is responsible for 42 homicides, 6 of them against the security forces; the most recent is that one occurred in the town of Valledupar, in Cartagena Del Chairá, last March when he murdered a Non-Commissioned Officer and a soldier of the National Army, an action carried out by alias Cristián Cancharino.

The man was responsible for extortion of merchants, ranchers, businessmen and taxi drivers in the Department of Caquetá. He also allegedly ordered the attack against the Police station of the municipality of Cartagena Del Chairá and units of the Colombian Navy on the town of Pores, and the murder of a navy man in Puerto Huitoto, Caguán River.

The rights of two minors and a woman, who was apparently the mother, were also restored. War material and military accessories, ammunition, a long weapon, a small weapon and communications material, among others, were found at the scene.

His death in development of operations represents a loss to the territorial connection between the Structure Jorge Briceño and the Structure Carolina Ramirez, which maintain arrangements for the distribution of areas of interference in the departments of Caquetá and Putumayo; drug-trafficking activities in the municipalities of Cartagena del Chairá, Solano and La Montañita, Caquetá, and the mobility routes established in roads and water tributaries such as rivers Caguán and Sunciya.

In addition, there is a decrease in the collection of money from extortions to farmers, merchants and transporters, forced recruitment of minors in the municipalities of Cartagena Del Chairá, Solano, La Montañita and Milan, in the Department of Caquetá.
