From Cartagena, Bolívar, and the municipality of Corozal, Sucre, in different maritime units of the Colombian Navy a group of volunteers arrived accompanied by of the Colombian sailors to the sector of Isla Fuerte, a small island, south of the Gulf of Morrosquillo, to benefit more than 1,500 people in a comprehensive health activity.

The first team set sail from Cartagena on an amphibious landing ship ARC Bahía Solano, and after sailing 73 nautical miles arrived on the island loaded with more than 15 thousand gallons of drinking water, 748 boxes of liquid Bienestarina (food supplement), 1000 kilos of rice, 91 food baskets and 91 toilet kits.

Meanwhile, from Corozal, the Coast Guard Station of Coveñas facilities (Sucre), departed the second interdisciplinary team of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14, accompanied by the Frutos de Corazón Foundation, Fundación SEMBRA, the Beauty shop Sandra and the Naval Reserve of Sucre, to subsequently embark on Coast Guard units to Isla Fuerte and voluntarily provide their medical, veterinary and hairdressing services to the inhabitants.

The inhabitants of this Island area of Cartagena were very satisfied with the services provided free of charge, which undoubtedly contribute to the well-being of the island. One of the 1,500 beneficiaries of the activity was Mrs. Regina Barrios, 60, who said: ... " the activity that has come here to Isla Fuerte, is the best because, good doctors have come, of all kinds, something very good for us here that we do not have health services.”

On the other hand, the services of General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, optometry, psychology, Dentistry, Oral hygiene, social work, nursing and even samples of Cytology, were some of the medical specialties that the Islanders received. Meanwhile, dozens of pets received care in deworming, flea and tick control, vaccination, disease treatment and wound healing; they alos received food and drugs including antibiotics, anti-flea, anti-mites, multivitamins, control for scabies and anti-inflammatories.

The Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Sucre and the Gaula Elite Conjunto Nacional No.1, walked each of its streets to promote the I do not pay, I denounce campaign, inviting Islanders to denounce through line 147 crimes that attack personal freedom such as kidnapping and extortion.
