About 350 units of different elements will strengthen the response capacity of the soldiers, in any emergency situation.
The Fifth Brigade of the National Army, of the Second Division, received of the Government of Santander about 350 personal protection and safety elements, necessary to provide support for any emergency situation such as fire mitigation, rescue and other operations, typical of the platoon of assistance and disaster prevention of this Operational Unit.
With this contribution, the capacity to respond to possible emergencies is strengthened and the preservation of the force is guaranteed at times when soldiers risk their lives to save others.
Through the Engineers Battalion No. 5 Coronel Francisco José de Caldas, the Fifth Brigade ratified its commitment as a member of the Santander Risk Management network, in the frame of the unconditional dedication for the defense and safeguarding of the families of the region.
