The Golfo de Tribugá Amphibious Landing Ship ARC, loaded with more than 112 tons of humanitarian aid from the National Government, arrived in the towns of Santa Bárbara de Iscuandé, Mosquera and Satinga, located in the South Pacific of Nariño, to continue supporting the most vulnerable communities in the midst of the health emergency that the country is facing in the midst of the pandemic.

The more than seven thousand food kits that are part of the program Colombia está contigo, which is led by the Ministry of the Interior throughout the country, were shipped in Buenaventura in one of the surface units of the Pacific Naval Force, which after sailing 110 nautical miles, arrived at these difficult-access communities and with the support of its inhabitants delivered the aid that becomes a relief for thousands of families who during more than five months have remained in their homes to prevent the spread and infection of COVID-19.

By this moment, almost 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid, represented by more than 69,000 markets and hygiene kits, have been delivered by Marine Brigade No. 2 to support local authorities, the private sector and the non-profit organizations that have joined together to mitigate the needs of vulnerable populations during quarantine.
