With this successful result against drug trafficking, it was possible to prevent more than 168 billion dollars from entering the financial structures of illegal organizations.
In a combined operation conducted by Colombia and Panama, there was the successful interception of an illegal semi-submarine device near the Bocas del Toro Province, in Central America.
Once the suspicious ship was detected, there was the deployment of naval units of the National Aeronaval Service - SENAN of Panama, which interrupted the transit of the semi-submarine, which stored five tons of cocaine inside.
Upon being captured, the illegal device was taken along with its crew to the Panamanian port, where it was possible to capture four Colombians, who were transporting cocaine hydrochloride.
This modality is used by drug trafficking organizations to prevent being detected at the sea. However, the modern capabilities available to the Naval Forces of the region help identify this illegal transit in the Caribbean.
The material apparently belonged to structures associated with the GAO Clan del Golfo (Organized Armed Grou), would cost over 168 billion dollars, the price of the drug in the international black market.
