Military forces captured two members of the so called "United Self-Defense forces of the Pacific"

 

Nariño. In compliance with the provisions of the Military and Police Campaign "Atlas", the Joint Task Force of Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, during operations in the village of Altos de Guandipa, rural area of ​​the municipality of Mosquera, in the department of Nariño, captured two individuals belonging to the Organized Criminal Group "Autodefensas Unidas del Pacifico" led by alias "Caliche".

 

 

These captures are made after firefights between the illegal groups at the service of the drugs trafficking "United Self-Defense forces of the Pacific" commanded by alias "Caliche" and the residual GAO "Guerrillas Unidas del Pacifico" commanded by alias "David".

 

 

During the early hours of yesterday, troops of the Marine Infantry Battalion No. 41, entered the area known as Altos de Guandipa, where it was possible to capture alias "Relámpago" and alias "08" or "David" who apparently is the second in command of the “United Self-Defense forces of the Pacific". In the operation, it was possible to find a 7.62 mm caliber AK-47 rifle, seven 7.62 mm caliber cartridges and a magazine for 7.62 mm rifle.

 

 

Subsequently, the evacuation to Tumaco of the two individuals, who had injuries in the legs, via helicopter UH60 Angel, was carried out. There they received first aid and were transported to the medical center of the municipality.
