National Army troops, with the support of the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, arrested by judicial order José Alberto Posada Caicedo, alias Mateo, alleged political ringleader of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in Valle del Cauca.
The arrested, who would have interference in sectors of the Bajo Calima, municipality of Buenaventura, carried out activities of collecting money from extortions, selective homicides and microtrafficking, seeking to expand criminal operations to the city of Cali.
The arrest of this 30-year-old man took place in the El Peñón neighborhood, in locality 15, in the capital city of Valle del Cauca, thanks to the work of the troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 3 of the Third Brigade.
