In the framework of tactical reconnaissance operations and framed in the frontal struggle against illegal organized armed groups, soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No. 4 General Antonio Nariño, of the Nineteenth Brigade, reported important results in the south of Bolivar.
In the first operation, carried out in the sector known as Juan Martín, municipality of Río Viejo, there was the surrender to justice of two people known by the aliases of Andrés and Guajiro, alleged members of the Erlín Pino Duarte substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo.
In the same way, it was possible to arrest in flagrante delicto alias Orejas or El Duende, who had been in the aforementioned criminal organization for approximately seven years.
In another military operation, carried out in Montecristo, it was in the same way possible for alias Llanero, who had been a member of the armed group outlaw, to surrender to justice.
These results represent a significant blow to the structures of the GAO Clan del Golfo that commits crimes in the south of the department of Bolivar, damaging its armed capacity.
The men surrendered to justice will take advantage of the Humanitarian Assistance Group for the Demobilized.
The arrested were put into custody of the authorities for prosecution.
