 MG (R) JORGE EDUARDO MORA LÓPEZ

The Minister of National Defense, MG (R) Jorge Eduardo Mora López, has more than 36 years of experience in security and defense management, with an emphasis on strategic planning, intelligence, public security, territorial conflict, and academia. He is an expert in strategic management and planning, conflict resolution, business leadership, decision-making, and strategic and prospective analysis.

His leadership capacity is aligned with administrative, financial, and military operations growth, with a focus on governance, human rights, inclusion, sustainability, compliance, regulation, and the environment. He has worked as an advisor to regional governments on issues related to security and citizen coexistence, with widely recognized results.

He has extensive training in Colombia, France, Spain, and the United States on issues related to strategic planning, defense, security, leadership, and building institutional integrity.

His professional and academic records have been widely recognized with national and international distinctions (France, USA, NATO) for his role in the management of his constitutional mission as a member of the active law enforcement forces of the Colombian National Army.
