Military operations in the department of Choc贸, in the municipalities of Novita and Condoto, have led to the intervention of seven mining production units and the disabling of elements used for the illegal exploitation of mining sites.
In this operation against illegal mining, Colombian Air Force aircraft participated jointly with the National Army, coordinated with the Police and interagency with the Attorney General's Office, dealing another serious blow to this problem.
In carrying out this mission, the illegal activities of the Baud贸 substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, were hit at a cost of 1,700 million pesos, preventing the execution of future terrorist operations against civilians and Military Forces in the department. It is worth noting that this activity was carried out through a search warrant issued by the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and it is part of an investigation carried out for environmental crimes.
The Colombian Air Force carries out decisive operations in the fight for the preservation of natural resources, contributing to the care of water sources, fauna and flora in the region.
