446 kilos of cocaine were found in Cartagena

Bolivar. In recent hours Units of the National Navy, in a coordinated operation with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General of the Nation, against the drug trafficking organizations, that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean, found 446.8 kilograms of cocaine, hidden in a vehicle, on the road that leads from the municipality of Turbaco, in the department of Bolívar, to Barranquilla, in the department of Atlántico.

 

Thanks to the strict follow-up by the authorities, a truck with a route to Barranquilla, was inspected at a checkpoint, finding in its back the narcotics hidden in briefcases.

 

The drug belonged to a drug trafficking structure that commits crimes in the Colombian Caribbean and it would be send to Europe, where it would cost close to 27 million dollars in the illegal market. This operations becomes a considerable impact to this criminal organization.

 

The alkaloid and the two individuals who were in the vehicle, were put into custody of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, before whom they will face charges for the crime of trafficking, manufacture and / or carrying narcotics.
