With these unconventional weapons it was tried to attack against the civilian population, transport of hydrocarbons vehicles and military units.

The heavy military controls of the troops of the Task Force Quiron, in the department of Arauca, led to thwart a new attempt of terrorist attack by the group 'Camilo Cien Fuegos', of the organized armed group Eln, who continue to attempt to hit the population of this region of the country, installing unconventional weapons in important mobility routes.

The last event was reported in the village of Bocas del Jujú, in the municipality of Arauquita, on the road that connects the municipal capital with the municipality La Esmeralda, where two powerful explosive devices had been planted with the aim of attacking passers-by, petroleum transport vehicles and the troops.

The controlled detonation of the devices by the EXDE DELTA Explosives and Demolitions Group followed the respective security protocols, confirming the non-existence of more explosives in the place. This Military Unit denounces the frequent practice of GAO Eln consisting of the installation of explosives in places used by the civilian population and the main mobility routes used to the entry of food and products that supply the Arauca’s capital city.
