This space, which aims to strengthen the participation and interaction between the Military Forces and the citizens within the framework of transparency, trust and guaranteeing social control, was held from 09:30 am today Saturday.

The event was led by the Commander of the Military Forces, General Luis Fernando Navarro Jiménez, who stated that this public hearing was framed in a management report, in which the operations taken against the Covid 19 pandemic and other natural phenomena that occurred during 2020, were assisted as a priority. The contents presented at the hearing were selected taking into account the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of the Military Forces and the topics proposed by citizens, in the days prior to this meeting; they were sent to the General Command by email.

According to the schedule, the members of the General Staff of the Military Forces, responsible for the different institutional processes, presented six topics, including budget execution, compliance with goals, 2020 management, management impacts, peace building and improvement operations. Each of these issues was addressed and presented within the framework of the monitoring, control and evaluation of the strategic plans.

At the end of the presentations, questions and concerns were addressed by the public and the General Command Staff provided an answer, within the framework of the regulations contemplated in the statutory law 1757 of 2015, in which the provisions and protection of the Right to Democratic Participation are issued.
