In a military operation that was carried out simultaneously conducted by the National Army, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office, four ringleaders of the finances group were captured, along with five urban ringleader; the others would be in charge of points of micro-traffic.
Troops of the National Army carrying out military constant operations against crime factors in the department of Antioquia, in coordination with the Colombian Air Force, with the support of the National Police, the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and In response to the early warning No. 051 of 2019, captured 19 individuals that would belong to the Jorge Iván Arboleda substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, who would have been committing criminal operations, extortion and selective homicides in municipalities of the Northeast Antioquia department.
This operation, carried out with the information provided by the Civic Participation Network, took place in the Providencia village of the San Roque municipality; in the districts El Cinco, la Clarita, la Cristalina en Vegachí; as in the La Máscara, Puerto Estafa, Margaritas en Yalí, and in the municipalities of Segovia and Remedios in the department of Antioquia.
To achieve this resounding result, a large number of troops were deployed, who carried out an impeccable maneuver that culminated in the capture of the individuals known as alias Gallinazo, alias Julián, alias Yesenia, ringleaders of the finance group; alias chispiro, alias Ulises, alias Caspa, urban ringleaders. Alias El Presidente, alias Nayeli, alias Martha, alias Pedro, alias Nancy, alias Nando, would be criminal components liaisons; alias Elmer, alias Margot and alias Yuranis, would be in charge of micro-traffic points. The arrests were conducted in a structural process by the Attorney General's Office with the support of the Police and the Army.
Subsequently, the capture of aliases Camilo, political ideologist of the organization and three other individuals who perpetrated the management and control of micro-traffic points, was also possible; at the end 19 members of this GAO were captured.
Alias Camilo, 34 years old, 14 of these in the criminal organization, served as an ideologist of the substructure, he threatened the communities and was responsible for forcibly recruiting minors, in the same way he directed criminal intelligence activities against the Security forces.
During the operation it was possible to find firearms and communication equipment, among these five revolvers, 38 mm caliber, a 20 mm caliber shotgun, a 7.65 mm pistol, a magazine for a pistol, 21 38 mm caliber cartridges, 3 cartridges 7,65, three communication radios, 10 cell phones, 3 motorcycles, 391 grams of marijuana, and $ 542,000 in cash. The materials and the individuals were put into custody of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation. Once the capture legalization hearing process had been carried out, the prison measures were ordered.
