In the frame of the operations carried out by the Third Division of the National Army, in recent hours, it was possible to capture, in combat, five alleged members of the self-named structure “Carlos Patiño” of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r), in rural area of the municipality of Argelia, in the department of Cauca.
In the hamlet Buena Vista, municipality of Puerto Rico, troops of the Twenty-Ninth Brigade, carrying out operations of reconnaissance of area after receiving information on the presumed presence of members of this group in the area, they found it and engaged in firefight achieving the capture of four men and one woman, as well as the recovery of another individual.
In the place it was possible to finding an AK rifle, two R-15 rifles, two 40-millimeter grenades, ammunition of various calibers, 12 magazines, a communications radio, six multipurpose vests, two camouflage uniforms of exclusive use of the military forces and military accessories. The material and those captured were put into custody of the authorities to continue with the respective judicial process.
