Air force benefits more than 500 people in Gaitania, Tolima, with medical services

Around 500 people, including pregnant women, older adults, men and children, benefited from a Development Support Activity led by the Colombian Air Force and the Professional Officers of the Reserve of the Air Combat Command No 4.

 

In Gaitania, municipality of Planadas, the wings of the Colombian Air Force arrived, loaded with hope and aid for the hundreds of inhabitants who arrived from villages surrounding this place to benefit of the activity.

 

Optometry, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Audiology and ultrasound scans for pregnant women, were some of the services provided by health professionals; besides the veterinary assistance was provided for dogs and cats.

 

The happy activity began at dawn with the support of helicopters Huey II and Bell 212, it resulted in more than 500 people benefited, who with their smiles showed their gratitude for the assistances and services they received; in the same way 76 canines and felines were assessed and medicated.

 

The children participated in songs, games and competitions and for the first time they got to know a helicopter of the Colombian Air Force, sharing with the crews of this aircraft in a playful afternoon, full of surprises and great experiences.
