Air Force transports humanitarian aid for Wipijiwi indigenous community in Vichada

cogfm-fac-ayuda-humanitaria-comunidades-indigenas-vichada-21.gif

The Colombian Air Force joins efforts to distribute 500 kilos of humanitarian aid, sent by land from the municipality of Paz de Ariporo in the department of Casanare to the Casanare Air Group, GACAS, in Yopal, where a Huey II helicopter took it for the Wipijiwi Indigenous community in the Primavera, in the department of Vichada.

This operation was possible thanks to the inter-institutional work managed by the Primavera Government Secretariat and the Departmental Coordination of Risk Management of the Casanare Governorate, which donated 15 kits of humanitarian aid, and the support of the Paz de Ariporo City Hall, which seeks to mitigate the needs of this population settled in Santa Bárvara de Agua Verde, Vichada.

The distribution of the kits will be made by the military of the Eastern Air Group, GAORI, in Marandúa, Vichada, who will provide so some well-being to this people that had to be evacuated last May 20, hit by the heavy rains in this region.
