On board a UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter of the Colombian Aerospace Force, personnel of different environmental institutions of the national and regional order that make up the risk management teams, carried out a surveillance and reconnaissance operation in the municipality of Quetame, Cundinamarca, in order to verify the flows of the rivers and the meteorological conditions of the surrounding areas.

As part of the assistance to the emergency in Quetame and in order to mitigate possible landslides, officials of the National Construction Agency (ANI), the Colombian Geological Service, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) and Corporinoquia identified in the overflight made by the aircraft belonging to the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, new points in the upper part of the mountainous area to be prioritized in monitoring by the different authorities.

Major Diana Carolina Meeting Head of the Office of Alerts and Forecasts of the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM), sent a message of tranquility to the inhabitants of the municipality, urging to provide support to the call of the different authorities in the area by going directly to the municipal mayor offices and preventing so misinformation.

She in the same way stated that the national component of the National Risk Management System is checking the weather conditions on the road that connects Villavicencio with Bogot谩, in this way the Colombian Aerospace Force is available with distinctive resources in surveillance and recognition to provide support for emergencies arising from natural disasters that occur in our country.
