Alias “Barbas,” head of the GAO residual Oliver Sinisterra, was arrested in Tumaco

In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Heroes Of Freedom, the Joint stabilization and consolidation Task Force Hercules, in development of military operations, managed to arrest alias Barbas, alleged member of the organized armed group, GAO-r, Oliver Sinisterra structure.

 

Alias Barbas, alleged ringleader of a group of the support networks of the GAO-R Oliver Sinisterra structure, currently has an arrest warrant for the crimes of aggravated homicide, forced disappearance, Association to commit crimes and illegal carrying of weapons. In addition, this individual would be responsible for participating in the murder of six people in the municipality of La Guayacana, in the municipality of Tumaco, Department of Nariño. Similarly, he would be the alleged perpetrator of attacks against the troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No.2 and officials of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the prosecutor's office, who moved on the Tumaco-Junín road, Municipality of Barbacoas, on March 9, this year.

 

This individual was put into custody of the authority for its respective prosecution.

 

This result hits the income component of this criminal organization, responsible for killings, acts of crime and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking; in this way the recommendations of the early warning 004 and 044 2018 issued by the office of the Ombudsman are being complied. These recommendations consist in the adoption of prevention and protection measures that will safeguard the rights to life, liberty and security of the inhabitants of the region.
