Due to the criminal and indiscriminate operations of organized armed groups that commit crimes in the Department of Department of Chocó, another Indigenous person was a victim when he fell into a minefield and had to be rescued in a Colombian Air Force helicopter.

This minor, 17, was conducting agricultural and fishing work on the Mojaudó River, when he had contact with the improvised explosive device that hit his two legs, so it was necessary to extract him by air given the severity of the injuries.

This man was taken from the rural area of Alto Baudó, in the Department of Chocó, to the hospital San Vicente Fundación De Rionegro, in Antioquia, where he was received by specialists to provide him with the required medical assistance.

Two humanitarian missions have been executed during this week due to the same cause; these accidents show the intention of the organized Armed groups to directly harm civilians.
