Army and National Police repair damages caused in the alternative way in Cauca

cogfm-ejc-ponal-reestablecimiento-via-03.gif

The joint work conducted by the Security forces and the community of the area, led to the opening of a road in a timely manner. Thanks to the timely reaction of National Army troops and police units, it was possible to repair a section of the alternate road that connects Cali and Popayán, in the village known as Mata Redonda, jurisdiction of the municipality of Morales, in the department of Cauca, which had been damaged in the early hours of the morning.

After knowing the damage caused in this road section by unscrupulous people who sought to cut the transit through this sector, making a hole of more than one meter deep and cutting trees that were later crossed on the highway, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 7 'General José Hilario López', the National Police and the civilian population carried out joint operations to promptly repair this damage.

With shovel and other tools and the coordinated work conducted by the Security forces and the community, it was possible to recover the transit in this sector in less than three hours, removing all the obstacles from the way.
